Workflow

A practical path from collection risk to verified preservation.

The ArchiSys workflow is designed to make large audiovisual collections more understandable, more manageable, and more preservable.

01

Collection Review

We start by understanding the size, formats, condition, goals, timeline, stakeholders, and risks associated with the collection.

02

Workflow Design

We define the ingest strategy, preservation formats, metadata requirements, QC standards, storage layout, naming conventions, and reporting structure.

03

System Configuration

ArchiSys configures capture systems, playback equipment, automation, routing, monitoring, and both local and long-term storage systems.

04

Digitization and Monitoring

Media is captured through controlled workflows with technical monitoring, file validation, logging, and exception handling.

05

QC and Reporting

Outputs are checked for technical integrity, duration, signal issues, metadata completeness, and checksum verification.

06

Delivery and Preservation Support

Final deliverables can include preservation files, derivatives, metadata, reports, checksum manifests, and recommendations for long-term storage and access.

Documentation

Every workflow should be reviewable.

ArchiSys workflows are designed to produce operational evidence: what was captured, how it was captured, what files were created, how those files were validated, and how the organization can preserve and access them over time.
